Move-in day
Move-in day should feel calm: packages already received and stored near campus, ready when you arrive — not a scavenger hunt through big box stores and last-minute shopping.
Pickup near campus: Today’s ShipToDorm experience is pickup at the local receiving address near campus. Door-to-dorm delivery is not the default promise.
What to expect
- Packages that arrived on different days are held and staged together.
- You’ll pick up at the local address for your campus corridor.
- Staff help you collect what was received and marked ready.
Scheduling Your Pickup
Dorm move-in is busy, so we make getting your things as smooth as possible. Simply schedule your pickup day ahead of time, select an arrival slot, and settle your bill a day early. When you arrive at your designated facility, show your confirmation receipt, and our team will have your items ready to load straight into your car.
Check your ShipToDorm account or confirmation emails to view available pickup windows during move-in week. If your school requires timed slots, please arrive during your reserved window.
What to bring
- Photo ID matching the parent or authorized pickup contact.
- Your ShipToDorm confirmation / shipping reference (app or email).
- A vehicle sized for the volume you shipped. (you may be charged for making multiple trips)
Someone else picking up?
You can authorize another adult (student, relative, or helper) when rules allow. Bring the authorization details you set in your account plus their photo ID.
Arriving early or late?
Packages stay stored near campus across the pre-arrival window. If plans shift, contact help before your window so staging can adjust — don’t assume the dorm mailroom will hold overflow.
